The University of Tennessee has announced an ambitious vision for the future of Neyland Stadium, one of the most iconic venues in college football. The “Vols 2030 Project” will see a bold transformation of the historic stadium, blending tradition with cutting-edge innovation.
The renovation plans include expanded seating to surpass 110,000 fans, making Neyland one of the largest stadiums in the country once again. Fans can also expect state-of-the-art LED video boards, luxury skyboxes, a modernized concourse with enhanced food and entertainment options, and a spectacular “Vol Walk Plaza” celebrating Tennessee’s legendary history.
In addition to these upgrades, Tennessee officials confirmed that the stadium will be outfitted with advanced technology, including 5G connectivity, immersive fan experiences, and interactive apps designed to bring the Volunteer spirit closer to every supporter.
Athletic Director Danny White stated: “Neyland Stadium is more than a football arena—it’s a cathedral of college football. These bold changes will ensure that our home remains the heartbeat of Volunteer Nation for decades to come.”
Construction is expected to begin in 2026, with phased openings leading up to the 2030 football season. Volunteer fans are already calling it the most daring project in Tennessee athletics history.
