“Milwaukee gave me a second life,” Lopez said in a recent interview. “When I signed there in 2018, I was just looking for a chance to prove I could still contribute. I ended up being part of something special.”

 

Lopez, once known solely as a post scorer during his early years with the Brooklyn Nets, transformed into one of the league’s premier stretch fives and defensive anchors under head coach Mike Budenholzer.
