Bayern Munich CEO Fires Back: Calls Talk of Losing Stars to Premier League “Wildly Exaggerated” — Issues Bold Warning to England’s Big Clubs

**Bayern Munich CEO Brushes Off ‘Exaggerated’ Talk of Losing Top Players to the Premier League**

Bayern Munich CEO **Jan-Christian Dreesen** has firmly dismissed growing speculation that the Bundesliga giants are at risk of losing their top players to Premier League clubs. In a recent interview, Dreesen described such claims as “wildly exaggerated,” insisting that Bayern Munich remain one of Europe’s most attractive and powerful football institutions — both on and off the pitch.

In recent months, reports from England have linked several Bayern stars — including Leroy Sané, Joshua Kimmich, and Alphonso Davies — with potential moves to Premier League clubs. However, Dreesen was quick to push back against the narrative, emphasizing that Bayern have no reason to fear player departures. “We hear these stories every year,” he said. “It’s always the same talk: that the Premier League will come and take our best players. The truth is, Bayern Munich are not a selling club — and we don’t plan to become one.”

The CEO’s comments come amid a wider debate about financial power in football. The Premier League’s enormous broadcasting revenue has allowed its clubs to offer record-breaking salaries and transfer fees, which has, in turn, drawn players from all over Europe. Yet, Dreesen believes Bayern’s strength lies in more than just money. “Our players stay because they believe in what we’re building here,” he said. “At Bayern, we offer not only success but also stability, world-class facilities, and a sense of belonging that money can’t buy.”

Dreesen also pointed to Bayern’s enduring dominance in Germany and their consistent presence in the latter stages of the UEFA Champions League as evidence of the club’s pull. “We compete at the very highest level every single year,” he said. “Few clubs in the world can guarantee that. Our players know that when they put on this shirt, they are representing one of football’s great institutions.”

Behind the scenes, Bayern Munich are undergoing a quiet but deliberate transition under new head coach **Vincent Kompany**. The Belgian manager, who took charge earlier this year, is leading a tactical evolution aimed at modernizing Bayern’s style of play while maintaining their winning identity. Dreesen expressed complete confidence in Kompany’s project, calling him “a leader with vision, intelligence, and charisma.”

Still, Dreesen acknowledged that the club must stay competitive in a changing football landscape. “Of course, we must adapt,” he said. “The market is evolving, and we need to ensure our financial strategy reflects that. But we will never abandon our principles — responsible management, sporting ambition, and unity.”

Fans have largely applauded Dreesen’s strong stance, viewing it as a sign of stability during a period of transition. Bayern Munich have long prided themselves on being a “family club” with clear values, and Dreesen’s comments reinforce that philosophy. “Our success has always come from balance — ambition without recklessness, loyalty without complacency,” he said.

For Bayern Munich, the message is clear: while the Premier League may dominate financially, Bayern continue to dominate structurally and culturally. Their players, according to Dreesen, understand that. “We respect English football, but we’re not intimidated by it,” he concluded. “Bayern will always be Bayern — and that means standing tall, no matter who comes knocking.”

With that, the club’s CEO sent a powerful reminder across Europe’s footballing landscape: Bayern Munich are not chasing anyone — they remain the club that others aspire to catch.
